Hosta Blue Wedgwood forms a medium (1½ feet tall by 2½ feet wide) mound of slug-resistant heavly seersuckered, blue -green leaves. It is one of the Tardiana group of hostas. It blooms from June with pale lavender flowers on 30" scapes, and is fairly disease resistant and low maintenance. A dependable and versatile perennial requiring little care. Grown primarily for its beautiful foliage which provides color, contrast and texture to the landscape. Dense foliage crowds out most garden weeds. Leaves are slug-resistant, deep blue and wedge-shaped. Prefers bright shade and humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil, very drought tolerant once established. This cultivar is a fast grower.
