This attractive, medium sized selection, 8"-10" wide and 28"-36" wide at maturity, and has dark green leaves with a wide pale yellow centre. A beautiful sport of ‘Striptease’. Hosta 'Gypsy Rose' leaves have a yellow centre with a sharply contrasting dark green margin plus a whitish line between the two. Lavender flowers are produced on 18" scapes from late July into August. It will quickly make an excellent specimen in a pot with its good growth rate. Hosta 'Gypsy Rose' stays slightly smaller, but most importantly, the centre pattern of the leaf is much brighter yellow than in H. 'Striptease', which is more light green. This is a dazzling plant that should be a part of every hosta collection. Its also slug resistant ans sun tolerant. Another must have for any collection.
