Hosta Alligator Alley forms a medium sized mound of 14"-20" and a spread of up to 42" at maturity. This is a sport of Hosta 'Dick Ward' which has heart-shaped leaves with a superb substance. Wide blue-green leaves, with a narrow chartreuse centres that brightens to gold with a little sun. Foliage becomes gently cupped with age, and strongly textured like the scales on an Alligator’s back. Very pale blue, almost white flowers appear on scapes of 28" tall, in June & July. This variety is both slug resistant and sun tolerant.
