Hosta Blue Elf forms a small mound reaching a height of 15cm-20cm and spreading up to 35cm at maturity. Compared to the popular Hosta Blue Mouse Ears variety, Hosta Blue Elf maintains a similar short stature but features larger leaves measuring approximately 6cm-8cm across with true powdery blue colouration. It produces proportionate flower spikes of about 30cm in height, yielding pale purple flowers in midsummer. Hosta Blue Elf is ideally suited for fairy gardens or troughs due to its compact size. It is believed to be resistant to slugs and can tolerate a moderate amount of sunlight.
