Hosta Calypso forms a minature mound of up to 8" tall and a spread of about 18" at maturity. A contrasting white leaf center with deep green margins, infused with chartreuse. The leaf is narrow with a pointed end. Spikes of violet flowers appear on 12" scapes, in mid-summer. Its attractive narrow leaves remain white in color with distinctive dark green edges and tinges of chartreuse throughout the season. Hosta Calypso is one of the best small white centered hostas on the market today. It is not particularly slug resistant nor sun tolerant, but a great Hosta to have in your collection. This variety is fertile and could be used in a breeding programme.
