Hosta Formal Attire will form a large mound of about 30" tall with a spread of up to 60" at maturity. This is a very smart variety. Large leaves with a good crinkly texture. Wide margins start off cream and fade to white. Forms a fairly open, wide, clump. Best in a little shade in a big pot or in the ground. Pale lavender flowers appear on 40" scapes, in June. The large hosta has leaves measuring 9-11" long x 7-8" wide with 12 pairs of veins. The leaf is a dark blue-green with a wide cream margin that becomes pure white as the season progresses. The clump that it makes is very open and taking a single leaf can pose a problem. Slug resistant and sun tolerant.
