Hosta George Smith, will form a medium to large mound of 15"-18" in height, with a spread of up to 36", at maturity. It is a sport of Hosta sieboldiana Elegans. The leaves have a bright green-gold centre and it grows into a beautiful elegant clump. We've found this plant to be superior to other sieboldiana sports, as it exhibits greater vigour and multiplies well, andtolerates some sun, as long as it has adequate moisture. Topped with near white flowers on 28" scapes, in June & July. Slug resistant and sun tolerant. A real must for anyone's Hosta collection. George Smith is a local lad too, from Heslington, York.
