Hosta Golden Sceptre will form a small mound of 12"-18" in height, with a spread of up to 32", by the time it reaches maturity. This is a very bright little variety from the Tiara series. Hosta Golden Sceptre rapidly makes a dense mound of bright yellow leaves that have an almost luminous quality, which are superb in a shady spot early in the season, and later are complemented by the light purple flowers, held up on 24" scapes in July, which make it a rather vibrant little Hosta. Hosta Golden Sceptre has leaves emerge all gold in spring and season to chartreuse. Vigorous grower that can handle some sun. Great border plant. Excellent for edging, but not very slug resistant.
