Hosta Harry Van Trier will form a very small mound of 9"-11" in height, with a spread of about 18", at maturity. Hosta Harry van Trier is an extremely popular small variety, easy to grow. Good for beginners. It has dark green wavy pointed leaves and masses of lavender flowers held above the clump, on scapes of 15" length. Grows very well, making it easy to propagate regularly by means of splitting. Mass planting recommended to get the best effect from this plant. This variety isn't grown for its foliage, but for the masses of lavender to pale purple blooms that are in abundance. Not slug resistant, but is sun tolerant, so good at the front of borders. RHS Award Of Garden Merit.
