Although its colour may fade slightly during the summer, it remains a standout feature. In July, rich purple flowers bloom on 60cm scapes. Hosta Kabitan thrives best with morning sunlight. It is stoloniferous, meaning the clumps regularly enlarge via underground runners rather than merely expanding in place like most Hostas. This classic variety is essential for any collector and presents beautifully in a pot.
