The Hosta Lakeside Cupcake forms a small to medium mound, reaching a height of 30 cm to 40 cm and a spread of up to 50 cm at maturity. It features nearly round, slightly cupped leaves that emerge in spring, creating a compact mound of thick foliage with gold centres and blue-green margins. As the season progresses, the centres transition to white, with a green streak forming at the junction between the centre and the margin. This variety produces pale lavender flowers on 50 cm scapes during the summer and demonstrates resistance to slugs and snails, as well as considerable tolerance to sunlight.
