Hosta Mayan Moon will form a medium to large sized mound of about 18"-22" in height, with a spread of up to 36", at maturity. This is a sport of Hosta August Moon with dark green leaves with a wide gold margin.  Hosta Mayan Moon is a mediumgrowing, good textured hosta with blue-green leaves with 1/2" yellow border. Its attractive heart-shaped leaves remain bluish-green in colour with distinctive gold edges throughout the season. Its foliage tends to remain dense right to the ground. Mayan Moon Hosta features dainty spikes of white tubular flowers rising above the foliage on scapes of up to 30", in late summer. Reported to have good sun tolerance. Thick, rounded leaves give good slug resistance.
