Hosta Monster Ears will form a low mound of 12"-14" in height with a spread of about 22" at maturity. Very round and very thick, shiny green, cupped leaves that resemble a "mouse ears" but are much larger. However, this is NOT a member of the mouse family. Its actually a sport from Hosta 'Sunset Grooves'. It produces these low almost white flowers just above the foliage on very short scapes of no more than 22", giving it a look of Bergenia. It would appear to have the resistance to slugs that is required and will tolerate some sun as well. A Hosta with a little diference.
