Hosta Plantaginea Grandiflora will form a clump of 28"-32" in height, with a spread of up to 24", at maturity. Grown for its lovely foliage and it's very heavily fragranced white flowers. It is a remarkable Hosta, forming dense upright mounds of lush, glossy, bright green, broadly oval leaves, with parallel viens and quilted surface that will enliven any shady part of the garden. The clump is elegantly topped late in the season with some of the largest flowers in the Hosta world, some of which could be 4" long, and considered one of the most fragrant of Hostas around. Magnificent. Opening mainly in the evening, the long, trumpet-shaped, waxy, pure white blossoms rise on long scapes up to 30" long, and are divinely eye-catching. Don’t place in direct sunlight. Not slug resistant but still beautiful. Very easy to grow.
