Hosta Shiny Penny is a miniature mound, up to 8" tall, and no more than 16" wide, of heart shaped leaves that emerge bright shiny yellow and turn coppery as the season progresses. Bright gold leaves in spring season to chartreuse. Honey-yellow small heart-shaped leaves form a tight flat clump. Forms a dense mound of wavy golden foliage, slightly rippled, very shiny on top, & very shiny underneath. Lavender flowers are a delight in July held well above the mound on yellowish & speckled purple scapes. Excellent as a border plant or rock garden specimen. This is a nice addition to the miniature hosta garden. Sun tolerant and slug resistant.
