Hosta Shiny Penny will form a miniature mound of about 4"-8" in height, with a spread of just 12"-16", at maturity. It consistas of heart shaped leaves that emerge bright shiny yellow and turn coppery as the season progresses. Small heart-shaped leaves form a tight flat clump, and a dense mound of wavy foliage, slightly rippled, very shiny on top, & very shiny underneath. Dainty, lavender flowers are a delight in July held well above the mound on yellowish & speckled purple scapes, of about 15" tall. Excellent as a border plant or rock garden specimen. This is a nice addition to the miniature hosta garden. Sun tolerant and slug resistant.
