Hosta Summer Lovin will form a medium to large sized mound of about 18" -24" in height, with a spread of up to 48", wide at maturity. It' s thick, heart-shaped leaves have dark green centres and wide, lemon-lime borders that become creamier as the season progresses. Nice thick leaves that gain some corrugation at maturity. It's medium to large in size for a hosta, with an attractive, mounding habit. Sport out of Hosta Summer Breeze, but differs from its mother plant by its much darker green centre, offering an excellent contrast to the rich yellow margin. Very dainy lavender flowers are held on tall scapes of about 36" in height, in from July & into August. This plant tolerates the sun and is also slug resistant. Plant in part sun or shade, sunlight intensifies the foliage colours.
