Hosta 'Little Sunspot' will reach a small to medium mound, of about 12" - 14" in height, with a spread of up to 22" at maturity. It is a sport of 'Little Aurora' with an added dark green margin. Small hosta with thick gold leaves that are edged by a dark green margin. This hosta is registered as being 5" tall x 12" wide, but listed in "The Hostapedia" as being 15" tall x 35"wide. I have split the difference and our listing is what we have seen in gardens. I have seen pictures of plants being the larger size but that will be in a perfect location. It will be adjusted as needed. Leaves are matt above & waxy below making them unpalitable to slugs. Its compact mounding and sun tolerance makes it great for border fronts.White flowers with pale lavender stripes appear on 18" scapes mid summer, followed by infertile brown pods.
