Hosta 'Morning Light' is a sport of 'Twilight' with reverse coloration. This midsized selection grows to 16"-18" in width and 26"-30" at maturity. It has ovate, thick, leaves that emerge with a bright yellow center in spring bordered by a dark green margin. By mid-summer the leaf center brightens to white with dark green margins. There are lighter green streaks between the two colors. Beware! This is a slow grower that needs bright light and fertile soil to achieve its potential. Pale lavender flowers appearon 24" scapes, in mid summer. Beautiful foliage but can be hard to grow. Beginners may struggle. It is not slug resistant or sun tolerant but still a beautiful coloured Hosta that in my mind, is worth the effort.
