Hosta Metallic Sheen forms a substantial mound, reaching 70cm-80cm in height and up to 150cm in width when fully mature. This plant features very thick, metallic grey-blue leaves that transition to dark green as they age. The robust, metallic blue foliage creates an impressive clump in the garden. During the months of July to August, the clump is adorned with light lavender flowers borne on 90cm scapes. The thick, ridged leaves contribute to this variety's resistance to slugs. It is only partially tolerant of sunlight and should be kept out of direct midday sun.
