Hosta Praying Hands forms an upright mound reaching approximately 30cm-45cm in height, with a spread of up to 60cm at maturity. It is characterized by its unique appearance. The narrow green leaves are highly wavy and folded upright, featuring thin cream margins. The leaves display a matte finish on the upper side while revealing their shiny undersides when folded. Hosta Praying Hands' upright growth habit makes it an excellent choice for container planting. Additionally, it produces numerous lavender flowers held above the foliage on 75cm scapes during the summer. Although not particularly tolerant of direct sunlight, this plant exhibits significant resistance to slugs and snails. This variety has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including Hosta of the Year 2011 by the American Hosta Growers Association, and the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
