Hosta Royal Standard develops into a substantial plant, reaching 55cm-65cm in height with a spread of up to 160cm at maturity. The narrow, oval, slightly puckered leaves range from apple green to bright medium green, measuring up to 22cm by 8cm, and exhibit a satiny sheen with faint marginal undulations, distinctive veining, acute tips, and cordate lobes. In full sun, the leaves tend to acquire yellowish-green tones. The cultivar produces highly fragrant, funnel-shaped white flowers that bloom from late summer to autumn on leafy, pale green scapes that rise well above the foliage mound, reaching a height of 105cm. This variety is one of the best Hostas for poor soil conditions.
