Hosta Royal Standard will form a large hosta of 22"-26" in height,with a spread of up to 63" at maturity. Narrow, oval, slightly puckered, apple green to bright medium green leaves (to 9" by 5") with a satiny sheen have faint marginal undulations, distinctive veining, acute tips and cordate lobes. Leaves of this cultivar acquire yellowish-green tones in full sun. Highly fragrant, funnel-shaped, white flowers bloom in late summer to autumn, on leafy, pale green scapes rising well above the foliage mound to 42" tall. One of the best Hostas for any poor soils. Not sun tolerant and definitely not slug resistant.
