Hosta T Rex will develop into a substantial mound, reaching approximately 80cm-100cm in height and spreading up to 240cm upon full maturity. This variety is notably large. The green leaves of Hosta T Rex are slightly wavy and floppy, forming a significant mound of somewhat corrugated green foliage. Although it is slow to start, it eventually grows into a very large and impressive Hosta with a pleasing leaf shape. It requires considerable time to reach its potential but is ultimately rewarding. Optimal growth occurs when planted in deep, fertile soil with ample moisture. White flowers bloom on 130cm scapes beginning in July and lasting through August. The leaves have a matte, mid-green hue with a blue cast. They are deeply veined, seer suckered, as well as a slight ripple along the margin. When provided an ideal location, shielded from direct sunlight and with sufficient moisture, the clump will enhance over the years, producing a large display of 45cm sculpted leaves. Additionally, it exhibits resistance to slugs.
