Hosta Avocado will form a large Hosta of 26"- 30" in height with a spread of up to 48" at maturity. It is a vigorous, mound-forming Hosta, bearing ovate to heart-shaped, veined, glossy, yellow-green leaves with wide, irregular, dark green margins. This large selection forms a mound of light green leaves that change to gold as it matures and a very wide, dark green margin. Sturdy scapes of up to 36" tall, bearing racemes of fragrant, bell-shaped, pale lavender flowers appear in July and are carried by large, rigid stems. Can tolerate some sun and growth is fast to medium.
