Hosta Guacamole will form a substantial Hosta, reaching a height of 40cm-50cm with a spread of up to 90cm upon maturity. This variety forms an overlapping mound of slightly convex, widely oval leaves that are chartreuse gold in colour and measure up to 30cm in length, featuring irregular dark green margins. The leaves are glossy on the upper side and thinly glaucous beneath, adorned with chartreuse streaks extending toward their centre. During the summer, large, funnel-shaped blooms that range from near white to pale purple appear on long 70cm scapes held well above the foliage mound. Hosta Guacamole is highly valued for its notable fragrance and the improved texture of its leaves as it ages. Hosta Guacamole was honoured as the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year in 2002 and received the RHS Award of Garden Merit. This Hosta is sun tolerant.
