Hosta Big Mama will form a very large mound of 30"-36" in height with a spread of up to 60" at maturity. It has dark green/blue leaves, large and rounded. The leaves are ridged & slightly puckered when mature. Leaves are thicker & more rigid than that of its parent Hosta Blue Angel. It is a vigorous hosta with showy leaves what will add zest to the shade garden. Produces lavender flowers in midsummer with 48" tall spikes of flowers. It is also slug resistant, & partially sun tolerant, but much prefers the shade. Give this one plenty of space, once established it is a quick grower.
