Hosta Chariots of Fire will form a medium-sized mound reaching 40cm-50cm in height, with a potential spread of up to 105cm at maturity. The foliage has mid-green leaves with a slender white margin with a slight ripple effect. Initially, the leaves are light green with yellow margins, transitioning to a greener hue with white margins as the summer advances. Greyish-white streaks are visible where the central colour and margin intermix. The leaves grow on red petioles, seen when the plant first emerges. It is a vigorous grower, forming an appealing medium-sized clump. Purple flowers bloom on deep red scapes that can reach up to 100cm tall, from late August through September.
