The Hosta Crimson Desire develops into a medium-sized mound, reaching a height of 36cm-40cm and a spread of up to 75cm at maturity. It features heart-shaped, dark green leaves that are highly glossy, supported by vibrant red petioles. The plant exhibits an upright, flared growth habit that highlights the attractive colouration of the petioles extending into the base of the leaf. The foliage is broadly ovate, slightly twisted, wavy, and shiny on the upper surface. In July through August, bright red scapes, rising to 105cm in height, bearing lavender flowers adorned with darker lavender stripes.
