The Hosta Dress Blues cultivar forms a medium mound ranging from 55cm to 65cm in height with a spread of up to 100cm at full maturity. It features blue leaves with a thin, creamy-white margin. These leaves exhibit a very blue hue in the spring, accompanied by yellow margins, which gradually transition to blue-green and cream by mid-summer. The foliage appears to cascade over each other akin to a fountain. Leaves are held upright on petioles, displaying a slight red tint at the base. In July and extending into August, lavender flowers bloom on scapes reaching up to 90cm. This variety is known for its vigorous growth and attractive foliage, while also being resistant to slugs and tolerant of sunlight.
