Hosta Golden Spades is a compact Hosta variety that reaches a height of approximately 25cm-30cm, with a spread of up to 50cm at full maturity. It features rich golden, heart-shaped leaves arranged in an open whorl pattern. Despite being a Kabitan hybrid, it does not exhibit the typical traits of its parent plant. This variety grows at a slow to moderate pace, requiring time to fully develop. From July to August, it produces lovely lavender flowers with pale purple stripes on 30cm scapes. Hosta Golden Spades is adaptable to both sun and shade conditions and demonstrates good sun tolerance.
