Hosta Golden Spades will form a small sized Hosta of about 10"-12" in height, with a spread of up to 20", at maturity. Rich golden, heart-shaped leaves, formed in  an open whirl shape. A Kabitan hybrid without the characteristics of the parent. This slow to medium grower is slow to develop. Lovely lavender flowers with pale purple stripes are borne on 12" scapes, from July to August, and grows in sun and shade. This cute little yellow Hosta is sun tolerant but not too slug resitant.
