Hosta Minor will form a miniature, compact plant just 4"-6" in height, with a spread of up to 20", by maturity. It has small green leaves & a wavy margin. It has violet to purple flowers with a striping inside, held well above the foliage, on very long 24" scapes from June well into August. This is a vigorous grower and splits well every 2-3 years. Planted en-masse, the abundance of purple flowers looks stunning. Even though the leaves are not of great substance, this variety tolerates the sun and holds up well against the slugs.
