Hosta Minor is a miniature, compact plant just 4"-6" in height and a spread of 18"-20" by maturity. It has small green leaves & a wavy margin. It has violet to purple flowers with a striping inside, held well above the foliage, on very long 24"scapes from June well into August. This is a vigorous grower and splits well every 2-3 years. Planted en-masse, the abundance of purple flowers looks stunning. Even though the leaves are not of great sunstance, this variety tolerates the sun and holds up well against the slugs. Not much to look at until it comes into flower.
