Hosta montana Aureomarginata forms an open mound approximately 58 cm to 75 cm in height, with a spread of up to 165 cm at maturity. It emerges early and exhibits a large vase-shaped mounding habit. This attractive Hosta features green leaves adorned with bright gold margins that often streak towards the midrib. The leaves arch downward, creating an outward-facing display ideal for viewing. It forms a substantial upright mound, making it an excellent choice for background planting or as a specimen plant. Despite its unassuming name, this Hosta commands attention in any garden setting. Hosta montana Aureomarginata is particularly suitable for filling large areas while providing a striking visual appeal. In July, pale lavender flowers bloom on scapes reaching 90 cm in height. This Hosta is noted for its slug resistance and sun tolerance.
