Hosta Pandora's Box forms a miniature mound, reaching a height of 10cm-15cm and spreading up to 40cm at maturity. It features white-centred leaves with a streaky green margin, presenting a distinctive and sharp appearance. This Hosta is indeed a notable specimen, with lighter green streaks where the white meets the margin. Purple flowers bloom on scapes of approximately 40cm in June, making it a beautiful addition to a miniature garden. However, Hosta Pandora's Box can be challenging to maintain due to its small, white-centred nature. It requires a special location and extra care. It is considered a collector's Hosta and is best utilised in a miniature garden where it can be appreciated without being overshadowed by larger plants. While it may not be the most dependable Hosta, its beauty makes it a desirable addition to any collection.
