Hosta Plantaginea will form a substantial mound, reaching heights of 70cm-80cm and extending up to 60cm in width at maturity. This Hosta is grown for its attractive foliage and highly fragrant white flowers. It is a noteworthy Hosta, developing dense upright mounds of glossy, bright green, broadly oval leaves with parallel veins and a quilted surface. In late summer, the large clump has some of the largest flowers in the Hosta world,  potentially reaching lengths of 10cm, and is recognised as one of the most fragrant Hostas available. These long, trumpet-shaped, waxy, pure white blossoms rise on scapes up to 75cm in length, and are visually striking.
