Hosta Prima Donna will form a large mound of about 22"-24" in height, with a spread of up to 52", at maturity. It forms a beautiful mound of extra large, dark green, rather shiny foliage with rippled cream margins. The margins emerge yellow-gold but fade to creamy white as the season progresses. It forms a perfect arching mound just begging to be viewed. Prominent veins and rippled margins help this one stand out. Lavender flowers appear well above the foliage, on scapes of up to 48", in summer. This one is happy with a little sun and mainly dappled shade. Not the midday sun though. The ribbed leaves make this one more resistant to slugs.
