Hosta Karin will develop into a medium-sized mound, reaching a height of 70cm-80cm with a spread of up to 130cm at maturity. Discovered in Holland, Hosta Karin is a reverse mutation of Hosta Anne, which is a tetraploid mutation of Hosta Fortunei Aureomarginata. The foliage of this variety is characterized by very dark black-green leaves surrounded by a wide creamy gold border. In mid-summer, the 90cm wide clumps are adorned with 60cm tall stalks bearing light lavender flowers. This plant is known for its resistance to slugs and tolerance to sunlight.
