Hosta Patriot will form a medium-sized clump reaching approximately 30cm-45 cm in height, with a spread of up to 60cm at maturity. It is one of the most renowned variegated Hostas ever introduced. This Hosta produces an attractive mound of large, ovate-shaped, satiny dark green leaves with irregular ivory margins. In summer, funnel-shaped lavender-blue flowers appear on 90cm tall scapes that rise well above the foliage mound. This Hosta resistant to slugs and sun tolerant. It was awarded the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of the Year in 1997 and received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
