Hosta Zounds will form a large mound of 28" to 32" in height, with a spread of up to 40" wide, at maturity. Known as the Queen of Yellow cultivars, Hosta Zounds features chartreuse leaves that mature to gold. It typically grows in a dense mound, featuring satiny, rounded, thick, puckered, heavily-textured leaves with a metallic, chartreuse-gold sheen. Leaves have mucronate tips, slightly rippled margins and cordate bases. The bright gold leaves are very thick and deeply cupped. Leaf underside is strongly veined. Funnel-shaped, almost white flowers bloom in July & lasting into August, on leafy chartreuse scapes, rising to 36" tall. Slow to reach maturity but worth the wait. Tolerates full sun and actually requires sun to keep colouration. Thick and corrugated leaves make this slug resistant.
