Hosta City Lights will form a substantial mound, ranging from 60 cm to 75 cm in height, with a spread of up to 115 cm at maturity. This large specimen features rounded and corrugated leaves that exhibit a glowing yellow-gold hue. When provided with sufficient space, it can grow to be quite substantial. The leaves are thick, slightly cupped, and heavily corrugated, starting as chartreuse and maturing to a bright yellow. Near-white flowers bloom in July on long scapes reaching 125 cm. This Hosta is resistant to slugs and requires some sunlight to maintain its striking yellow colouration.
