Fransen Hostas is a family operated nursery with many years of experience in growing and introducing Hostas, owned by husband-and-wife team, Marco & Joyce Fransen.

The search for the best Hostas
Marco regularly goes to the USA to scour for the best that America has to offer. He ships back what he believes to be worthwhile varieties. He has built up an amazing network of American Hosta growers to have the maximum choices. These varieties don’t always appear straight away on his system. They are grown on until they are ready to be introduced.
“It will always be a difficult decision for us to wait to introduce a new variety as we know many of the Hosta collectors are as impatient as we are”. (Fransen Hostas).
Both Marco and Joyce are completely dedicated to offering the best Hostas, in the best condition. Their passion for Hostas was very evident when Marco and his son paid us a visit earlier this year. True dedication. Marco wanted to evidence our dedication and love for Hostas too. He wanted us to have similar values to them.
By working with Fransen Hostas we are able to bring many new and unique varieties, from around the world, to add to our existing stock.
