Rewela Hostas Workshops & Garden Visits

Hosta Workshops & Garden Visits to Rewela Hostas .... and Garden

During 2023 we hosted a number of Hosta workshops and garden visits for a number of U3A groups, local gardening clubs & societies. We have also hosted visits from foreign tour groups and small private parties. They proved to be a great success and we have been asked if we will be doing the same this year? The answer is YES.......

By opening our garden, it helps raise valuable funds for the National Garden Scheme charities. However, we just love showing off the garden. We are so proud of what we have achieved over the years. We have made so many good friends from visitors to the garden.

We have had so many gardening clubs, Women’s Institute U3a’s & other societies, visiting over the years. Some of these have even been from abroad, places such as Sweden & Denmark.

Some of these have been more than once. The garden changes from year to year. We endeavour to improve and add benefit to the garden on a regular basis, and even if you have been before, you won’t see the same garden. There is always something new to see.

There are many groups that have never visited. Perhaps this is the time to do it?  If you are a member of a gardening society or similar, talk to the person responsible for your club visits. Get them to contact us and arrange a visit. We will be happy to assist.

Don’t feel left out though. How about this? You don’t have to be a member of a gardening club or such, just get a group of 10 or more like-minded people together and contact us. We would love to see you.

Perhaps book one of our Hosta workshops and find out more about Hostas. These are very popular. Find out how to get plants for free! Enjoy the garden and go home with some valuable knowledge about Hostas.

Find out more by browsing through one of our books that show the history of the garden from its inception, whilst enjoying some lovely refreshments. You will be quite surprised at the development of the garden over a 25-year period. Some great photos too.

We are both available for any garden related questions to be asked

We offer two types of visit

A one hour hands on Hosta workshop covering the growing habits and care of different varieties of Hosta, followed by time to look around the garden and Hosta nursery.

Tea, Coffee & Cakes are served as part of the visit. Cost £12.00 per person

Or simply enjoy just looking round the garden & nursery followed by Tea, Coffee & Cakes Cost £10.00 per person, in both cases the minimum group size is 10 people.

All garden visits are appointment only, but importantly are part of the NGS

(National Garden Scheme) and therefore contribute to a worthy charity.

What our visitors had to say

"On behalf of the Garden Group, Margaret and I would like to thank you so much for allowing us to visit your lovely garden .

We have received such a lot of positive comments from the group about the workshop, the stunning garden and of course the very welcome tea and cake!  The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by all"

"Set in beautiful countryside is an oasis of outstanding beauty. Rewela Hostas is run by a warm friendly couple with a passion for Hostas (600 varieties) that they are willing to share. I visited with the U3a garden group and we all thoroughly enjoyed both the garden and of course the cakes . If you’re ever near by, see if they are open and enjoy"
