The Hosta Appletini forms a compact mound, reaching a height of approximately 10cm to 15cm, with a spread of up to 36cm at maturity. This attractive variety features bright yellow, wavy, smooth-textured leaves that transition to apple-green by summer. It is ideal for shady rock gardens, border edges, or troughs. The clumps can be easily divided in spring or autumn. The leaves are substantial and thus less susceptible to damage from slugs and snails. While it is not sun tolerant, it does require early morning sunlight to maintain its yellow leaf coloration. Pale purple flowers appear on scapes up to 36cm tall during July and August.
