Hosta Appletini forms a compact miniature, mound, reaching a height of approximately 10cm to 15cm, with a spread of up to 36cm at maturity. This attractive variety features bright yellow, wavy, smooth-textured leaves that transition to apple-green by summer. Pale purple flowers, contrasting the yellow foliage, appear on scapes up to 36cm tall during July and August. The leaves are substantial and thus less susceptible to damage from slugs and snails. While it is not sun tolerant, it does require early morning sunlight to maintain its yellow leaf colouration. Note: Miniature Hostas should be potted in well-draining compost.
