Hosta Lakeside Elfin Fire forms a miniature mound reaching a height of 10cm-15cm and a spread of up to 30cm at maturity. This distinctive miniature Hosta features narrow leaves with green margins and white centres, speckled with green. It is ideal for enthusiasts of miniature plants. This dwarf Hosta is unique in its appearance. Striped, purple flowers bloom on 45cm scapes with red-spotted petioles in mid-July, lasting well into August. It is a medium to vigorous grower, making it an excellent addition to a miniature garden. However, the white markings make it less suitable for sunny conditions. Occasionally, this Hosta produces entirely green leaves, which should be removed to maintain its characteristic appearance. Note: Miniature Hostas should be potted in well-draining compost.
