Hosta Sugar Blue will form a small to medium mound of 30 - 45 cm in height with a spread of up to 75 cm at maturity. Introduced by Marco & Joyce Fransen. Elongated, intense blue leaves with a misty bloom over it, are held on dark purple petioles. Blue seedling with unknown background can be compared to varieties as Hosta Best of Twenty or Hosta Mr. Blue. Hosta Sugar Blue has blue leaves. Lavender flowers are held on 75 cm tall scapes from July to August.
