Hosta Queen of the Seas will form a substantial clump, reaching 55cm-65cm in height and spreading up to 125cm when fully mature. It features wide clusters of heavily pie-crusted, pointed blue-green leaves. The leaves present a bluest hue in spring, transitioning to dark green by late summer as the glaucous coating diminishes. These slightly cupped leaves highlight their white undersides and exhibit a gently twisted tip. The foliage is thick and corrugated, forming a striking mature mound. In midsummer, the clumps are adorned with near-white flowers atop 90cm spikes. Additionally, this Hosta variety is slug resistant. This variety garnered significant admiration at the 1997 American Hosta Society convention, securing the Best in Show award.
