Hosta Woodland Elf forms a miniature mound reaching approximately 10cm-15cm in height with a spread of up to 140cm at maturity. This variety is known for its rapid growth and distinctive white leaf edges that extend down the petiole to the base, creating a very flat mound. The true miniature features medium green leaves bordered by neat cream to white edges. In June and July, lavender flowers bloom on 50cm tall scapes that are well-proportioned to the mound. It is advisable to plant this cultivar in locations where its playful characteristics can be appreciated. With good slug resistance, Hosta Woodland Elf is an excellent choice for edging, troughs, or shaded rock gardens. However, it should be protected from intense afternoon sun. While it is a vigorous grower, it needs time to establish properly, which may take a while.
