Hosta Woodland Elf will form a miniature mound of about 4"-6" in height, with a spread of up to 16", at maturity. It is reputed to be a rapid growing miniature, white leaf edge continues down petiole, to base, very flat mound. This true miniature displays medium green leaves with a neat cream to white edge. Lavender flowers bloom in during June & July, on 20" tall scapes in good proportion to the mound. Plant this charmer where its playful nature can be appreciated. Good slug resistance. An outstanding Hosta for edging, troughs or the shady rock garden. Protect from hot afternoon sun. This strong grower belongs in every mini hosta collection. However, grow in the right spot or it will suffer. Quite slow to establish properly.
