Hosta Chris' Admin will form a medium-sized clump of 35-40cm in height, with a spread of up to 100cm at maturity. This cultivar from German hybridizer Christina Brinkmann, honours the friends who help manage her Facebook group. This Hosta is known for its light green leaves that brighten to chartreuse by mid-summer, to yellow when given enough light. The leaves have soft, rippled margins, creating an elegant texture. What sets this Hosta apart is its striking dark purple, nearly black petioles and scapes, which provide a bold contrast against the yellow foliage. Its leaves are broadly ovate, slightly corrugated, slightly wavy and dull on top.  It blooms with lavender flowers in mid-summer held on dark red scapes of about 95cm. The upright habit of this Hosta shows off its beautiful dark petioles, making its foliage very dramatic. Slug resistant and sun tolerant. Part of our Special Collection.
