Hosta Gold Edger forms a small to medium-sized mound, reaching 25cm-30cm in height with a spread of up to 90cm at maturity. It features flat, heart-shaped chartreuse to gold leaves and racemes of bell-shaped lavender flowers. This Hosta requires minimal care and is cultivated primarily for its foliage, which adds colour, contrast, and texture to gardens. Hosta Gold Edger grows quickly to create a dense mound of golden foliage that is resistant to slugs and tolerant of sunlight. The leaves start as chartreuse and become brighter over time. When planted in bright sunlight, the clump can turn a brilliant yellow colour. As suggested by its name, Gold Edger is suitable as a border plant for shade gardens. From mid-June to mid-August, it produces pale lavender flowers on scapes up to 45cm tall.
