Hosta Birchwood Parky's Gold forms a small to medium mound, reaching 30cm-40cm in height with a spread of up to 120cm at maturity. This remarkable, relatively erect variety emerges in spring with green-gold to bright-yellow heart-shaped leaves that transition to golden yellow in summer. It forms a neat, symmetrical mound of gold heart-shaped foliage. Pale lavender flowers on scapes up to 90cm tall appear in July. This Hosta will tolerate some direct sunlight; bright light enhances its colour, though excessive sun may bleach the leaves. It is a rewarding, fast-growing plant.
