Hosta Whirligig will form a medium mound of 12"-16" in height, with a spread of up to 30", at maturity. The dark green leaves emerge vertically from the clump with a serious twist that would make Chubby Checker proud. Each leaf is highlighted with a large dramatic central pattern of creamy white. As the season progresses, the white changes first to a light olive-green. Finally, the central colour changes again into the same dark green as the outer edge of the leaf. Lavender flowers adorn the clump in July & August, held aloft by scapes of up to 26"... truly a distinctive new hosta!
