Hosta Kabuki forms a small to medium, loose mound reaching a height of 25cm-30cm and spreading up to 45cm at maturity. The leaves exhibit a blue-green hue with minimal blue interspersed with cream details. Each leaf features unique, randomly streaked cream coloration. The leaves are lightly corrugated and slightly cupped, presenting minimal detail aside from the colour variegation. During summer, the leaves turn green with a bright white margin. The lavender flowers bloom on scapes up to 60cm tall, appearing in July in a tubular shape.
